This week he teaches us about The Otter as a totem.

The Otter represents or symbolizes Woman Medicine; which is possessed by both sexes as we all have our female side, as women also possess a male side.

Woman Medicine is a nurturing and intuitive (the ability to emphasize with others feelings and situations in their lives); Men also posses this ability however more in the past then currently, men have been conditioned to suppress their feelings. Otter Medicine people are playful and take great joy in others happiness; it is not gossipy or overly talkative and for sure not jealous; which are considered by the majority of societies to be very negative traits in men and woman.

Otter Medicine people are supportive and nurturing, bringing a smile and a bit of joy to individuals who need it. If The Otter has entered your life as a totem, he is telling you to take life easy and find joy in the simple things; be nurturing, sometimes a laugh or a shoulder to lean on is the best medicine.

Remember to take joy in others accomplishments and be happy for them. A job well done must be appreciated. Be caring of others and help them out if they need it. Do not be overly critical of others; every one makes mistakes; be of assistance if possible and if asked.

The Otter is also saying to bring joy to ones self and others; to put yourself in the other position when trying to solve a problem or issue. Laughter and happiness are some of the rarest emotions and work wonders if used in a positive way.

The Otter is advising you to be happy and bring happiness to all you encounter; however at the same time avoid individuals you consider to be a downer or negative influence. Emotions are contagious and happiness is what we all want. It feels very good.
