My grandmother once told me that Aquarius-Pisces cuspers generally ruled that secret place mail goes when it gets lost; the same place all the missing socks go when they disappear and it is where hummingbirds come from. And back in the 1990s Grandma’s sarcastic axiom made me think of the Big Lebowski as an Aquarius-Pisces cusper. But as I learned more about the Aquarius-Pisces cusp–the Cusp of Sensitivity–and its denizens I decided I was way off base. Don’t get these cuspers wrong, sensitivity in this case does not mean they get their feelings hurt easily or they stay behind the clouds of hippiedom. Sensitivity means psychic phenomenon happens all the time to these cuspers, and they can smell a lie and they can smell trouble before anyone else. Champions of silent understanding. And when it comes to compassion very few non-Aquarifish will have greater skill at understanding another’s point-of-view or feeling their pain. First and foremost these cuspers are masters of compassion and empathy. And then add to this compassion and empathy a mix of quirky Aquarius and the spiritual artistic-side of Pisces.

Out of all the cuspers Aquarius-Pisces cuspers are my favorite. Aquarius-Pisces is the most intuitive cusp placement, originators of a naturally psychic and compassionate view of the world, especially when it comes to promoting their vision through art. These cuspers are often most stimulated by originality, and if you are involved with one and lack originality, the Aquarius-Pisces cusper will often turn inward for the originality stimulation they need and therefore come off as “dreamy.”

Office politics, what’s on TV, what the neighbors said, the low costs of taking a cruise, and so forth decorations and distractions of day-to-day living have the value of a dirt sandwich to these humanitarians. They love to mix high spiritual exaltations and the intellect, and when it comes to involvement with anything else they will thusly appear distant and will lack follow through. Swimming and team-related sports are appealing to them and they will excel as athletes easily.

What they need: Weirdness. The healthy kind of weirdness steeped in originality and a love for all things great and small. And they need ways to burn off bursts of energy–not manic energy, but energy that comes in waves.

Relationships: These cuspers can build a relationship with any sign and make loyal friends; they are very protective and loving of those close to them. They work best, however, with champion communicators and listeners who color outside the lines. They are great at friendships and awful at marriage. The reason why they are awful at marriage is because these cuspers when bored or uninspired have a tendency to either isolate in a cocoon or busy themselves with Universal issues. They work best with Virgos and Capricorns (although Taurus is an earth sign, too, the Taurean stubborn-streak gets in the way on this pairing).

Strengths: Super intelligent. Generous. Compassionate. Spiritual. Silent understanding. Dexterity in role reversals, chameleon-like dexterity in role-reversals.

Weaknesses: A tightly-run project will often become boring for these chameleon-like cuspers, and they can lack follow-through and lose interest before the project is completed. They have a vengeful hatred for bullies and fakery.

What they love: Originality, digging deep within, people who dig deep within, nature, nobility, the fine arts.

  1. Thank you! Born on 17 february, i never felt quite familiar with the aquarius sign, only partial. I felt more like pisces (but never read about it because it was not me “on the paper” 🙂 . But when i found out about cusps I finally understood because this describes me totally exact 🙂 it’s a big puzzle piece that came to the right place in my life, so thank you again

  2. Also born on feb. 17 I just noticed the comment posted from someone else above with my same birthday and name starting with the same letter. Perhaps it’s me. I felt like this came to me at the right place and time. How delightful how the universe works. Also reaching out to other cuspers here,; you are not alone transform that pain you feel into power and know you always have the choice to do good or bad. Keep striving for good even if you cant feel or see the results right away.

  3. I came into this realm on February 18, I’m a 0 degree Pisces and this describes the cusp very well! I have both the traits of Aquarius and Pisces. I appreciate the person who wrote the article as there are not many on cusps from my experience. My mind definitely all about universal principles and humanity, I dive into philosophies everyday and mundane everyday things bore me! With my mercury in Aquarius and moon in Scorpio I am definitely a deep diver. Much appreciated
