I write a lot of blogs telling about my involvement with the Acts of Kindness movement and I feel it’s important to keep that going all year round in different ways. I’ve participated in a lot of fun events and different things to try to help spread love and happiness around the community and am always recruiting friends along too.

Yesterday me and a group of friends stood outside our local Whole Foods for an hour with signs that said “Honk for Love”. We got a great response and it was a great feeling every time someone honked and we knew we saw we had made a bunch of drivers smile or even just laugh at the idiots standing out in 30 degree weather holding up signs asking people to honk at them.

As I was standing out there yesterday I was thinking to myself I’ve been that girl in her car in traffic crying or pissed off because everything I’ve bottled up has come out at once and at that moment I am alone in my car and I feel like crying. If I saw a bunch of people on the side of the road while I was in that state holding up signs like we were it would have cheered me up for sure.

You never know who is having one of those days that’s why I say smile at everyone (especially the grumps) and continue to be kind and spread some kindness and love daily even in the littlest way. And if you and your friends, co-workers, or family want to get out and make some signs and do your own Honk for Love tell us about it! We would love to hear how it made you feel and see your pictures.
