In the beginning of the month we began our series of Foretell’s Fall Favorites. Did you miss it? Don’t worry, we will include a link to the last 3 blogs down below. Our Fall Favorites series is where readers can come visit our blog page every Wednesday and read a bit about what some of Foretell’s staff members are enjoying this September.
Erin: Since this is the final blog in this series I wanted to say that this has by far been my favorite September in quite a while. The weather has been cool and crisp and even though it’s only been fall for a day at this point it feels like its been a full month of fall already. I’ve gotten to break out the hoodies and turn the air off and just open the windows and enjoy the fresh air and breeze blowing in. It’s wonderful!
I’m gonna go a little crazy now and write a bit about all I’ve gotten to do so far because it’s truly been a great start to the season. I’ve made some time to get back into my art and have been exploring and getting back into painting with different mediums. I get to watch my dog freak out and run through the leaves that have started to fall and into leaf piles like a maniac and she’s so happy and it makes me happy to watch her.
I got some great new fall clothes for next to nothing with some great fall sales and have been able to wear hoodies and scarves earlier than I have in many years. There’s been bonfires with friends, flea markets, and last night I had a very cool night at a new spot in Philadelphia at a hookah lounge then sat outside and enjoyed the first official night of fall for a while.
All in all it’s shaping up to be a wonderful season!
Laura: September, In my area, the air gets cooler and its perfect smores weather. It’s the beginning of the fall and the turning of the leaves. Halloween is coming and then of course my favorite holiday (Thanksgiving). It’s the start of my favorite time of the year. As september goes on I’ve been encouraging myself in seeking out more nature in my life. By looking around for local parks, reserves, and any type of nature walk. I’ve found some hot spots in some wonderful hide a ways. There’s one in particular that’s a man made lake that i’ve been visiting. The view at the marina is just plain peaceful.
As this season rolls on i’ll be enjoying the jumping on leaf piles. Pumpkin spice is just added to everything and hoodies are slowly coming back.
