Once inside, I see it is not actually a garden, but a courtyard with trees and plants along the perimeter. On the far side is a bronze image of a woman; people are standing beside her, having their picture taken – not what I am hear for. There on the right is the balcony, not far above ground level. To the left is a gift shop.
I am backing up against the wall, now closing my eyes, using an exercise I learned – many years ago: I tune out the voices and attempt to feel the energy of where I am. I am in awe of the fundamental emotion that I am feeling. Overwhelming waves of love, interspersed with friendship, compassion, empathy, tenderness, caring, and humility.
This is not entirely what I expected, But, on second thought, I guess all of these feelings have something to do with the passion that is love. This is an experience that I will never forget – a treasure trove of emotion that I would save in a bottle for the rest of my life.
